Should citizens become homeowners earlier in life or later? Why? or why not?

Leona(SWGATC)In my opinion citizens should wait till later in life to become homeowners. Most citizens have college under their belt, have a career jobs and making fairly decent money and are stable at this time. There’s also a chance that they are married and need their own home for their family. It would be in their best interest to invest in a home to show as a result of all the years of hard work and time invested. We could also be single and invest in a home if you can afford to do it on your own depending on your career choice. I personally choose not to invest in a home due to the fact that I do not have a reliable job and I am a single mom having to start from the bottom up and be able to stand on my own two feet .It really all depends on your situation whether to own a home now or later in life. It’s a major decision to make.

I believe that it’s a 2 sided issue u shouldn’t be to young but I believe you shouldn’t be to old . I think that u should be in your late twentys early thirtys at the latest because you do need to be mature enough to handle the responsible of homeownership but should be young enough to enjoy the fruits of your hard earned labor. But its all according to what kind of person you are and how bad you want things. Everything can be solved through necessity if you need something then u will find a way to come through but it all comes down to how mature you are as a person and if you can handle the responsibility.

I believe that citizens should become homeowners earlier in life because when they start at a younger age like about 23 by that time they should have done learn the facts in life like responsibilities and what you got to do to have something in life. Which on that age thing it does depend on what kind of person you are or how you were raised because if your young and still enjoy partying then its more than likely that you wouldn't because at that time you would not be wanting to focus on bills and other things like that. Then some people that actually has dreams that want to accomplish things in life and would want to have something to show for it would be interested in wanting to own a home so they could enjoy it for the rest of there life.

I don’t believe it really matters how old you are when become a homeowner. I think it matters more about whether or not you have enough financial stability to maintain a household. If a person has a stable Job that pays well I don’t think it matters what age they are when they decide to become a homeowner. However, If a person does not have a stable Job that pays well then they might have to wait till they are secure in their financial situation before they can become a homeowner. In short I see home ownership as a symbol for a personal’s financial stability.

Ronald(SWGATC) I think that it really depends on the individual person. Maturity has a big role in homeownership. Just because you might be older does not mean you are mature enough to own a home. Being young does not mean you are not mature enough. A good job and salary plays a big role in being able to pay for your own home. Sometimes even older people, who have been working their whole lives, still can’t buy a home because they chose a career that really did not have a stable financial future. More and younger people are working hard to have a home that will be theirs one day instead of renting for the rest of their lives.

Home ownership has to be one of the most important decisions to make in your lifetime. I feel that people should wait till they are a little older and more responsible and understand what a big decision they are about to make. There are some younger people who are responsible enough to make the decision but most do not understand the responsibility. It also takes some people a little longer to get established in the right job. There is also the decision on where you would like to live and raise a family.

Well it really depends on what kind of situation your in. If you are young, and can afford it then by all means buy a home. Most of the time it is best to wait until your really ready to own your own home. Owning your own home is a big step. You have to be sure your really ready for that. To me it does'nt matter what age you are. Young or old, you still know what you can or can't handle. A smart young person i believe would wait a while to make sure that they can do it. Making quick decisions can mess up your credit or even your life. Always think it through before you buy, no matter what age you are.
