Getting Organized

Organizational skills are vital for prioritizing and managing time effectively. Sometimes emergencies occur and one must demonstrate flexibility and adapt to change. Are you an effective manager of time? Do you procrastinate and fail to meet deadlines? If you are not well-organized, what is your plan of action for making changes. Write about at least one change that you plan to make if you are not organized. If you are organized, discuss what you do to make sure your tasks are managed effectively.

Josh(SWGATC)Organizational skills are very important in the business world as well as in your personal life. I’ve always had a problem with procrastating until the last possible minute to do anything you can call it a character flaw or just laziness but I prefer to describe it as I work better under stress. One change that I need to make is that I never make plans ahead of time I just kind of go with the flow but that can lead to trouble like forgetting that you have already made plans with someone but your already doing something else, that happens quite allot to me, one way I could change it is by putting reminders in my phone to remind me of what I have to do that day, but that becomes a problem also when you forget later on that day what you had to do and you go off doing something else. That might just be me.

I guess I could be more organized. I get everything done that I need to but sometimes I feel like I’m on a merry go round. Between family, working and school I don’t have very much time left over just for me. I hope by the end of this quarter that I will have it figured out a little better. I’m not really sure of a plan of action yet. I just know that I have a lot to do and I’ve got to figure out a better way to make sure it all gets done and still leave a little time for me to relax.

I personally believe that organizational skills are very important in your everyday life.Weather your on the job or anywhere else.I like to be organized and know ahead of time what im doing or what has to be done so I kno it gets done at a manarly time. Then I kno everyting is done on time and I don't have to sit and worry about what I didn't do or get finnish.I don't like to wait till the last minute to do something and when I start something I always like to finnish it. When I get everything done then I have time to relax.

Leona(SWGATC)I am quite an organized person for the most part but going through a divorce, attending college and raising a child it gets crazy at times. There are tings that I need to shape up on a little. In the past year I have been going through so many different things that it is easy to get side tracked and veered off the main course of action. My nine year-old is a handful and the stress from making her stay on course throws me off course sometimes, but for the most part I am pretty good being an effective manager of time. I like everything in its’ place when it comes to my things I like everything to be where it suppose to be that way when I need it I can go right to it. My biggest thing I want to shape up on is my paperwork. I am always doing paperwork and I need to get a filing cabinet then my organization will be completed.

I am a pretty sporadic person. So as far as being well organized, I would say not at all. To be more organized I could probably take time to make lists and keep track of things via a small notebook so that I always know what has been done and what needs to be done. It always seems not matter how unorganized I tend to be I always excel in emergency situations. I manage to stay cool, calm, and collected, and I always manage to come up with the plan of action to get through the situation. I do believe that being organized is the best way to live life, I have just procrastinated getting to that point. Maybe should start doing that.

Well personally I think that it’s good to be organized. It allows for a cleaner, neater environment and when you want to find something and you are organized then you know right where to look instead of having everything in a mess and spending thirty minutes looking around for it and eventually forgetting what you were looking for in the first place. At my old job, we kept everything in a certain place and that place had a label for that specific thing, right down to the stapler on the desk, it was a project called 5s although I can’t remember what all the s’s meant. Anyhow, in my opinion it is always beneficial to be organized on and off the job.
